The learning conditions for students in Poudre School District are shaped by the working conditions of thousands of educators and staff. Poudre EA is a member-led union of education workers and the exclusive bargaining agent for Licensed Staff in PSD. 

We organize to create the best possible learning environment for our students by strengthening our profession, bargaining a strong contract, and standing in solidarity with our families and students.

Cut The Ropes on Public School Funds!
Colorado has a structural funding problem, educators across the state are feeling the impacts of that. For some it’s being non renewed from a job they love and are good at because schools can’t afford to keep them. For others it’s increasing workloads and out of pocket costs to compensate for less staff support and districts tightening up supply budgets. Way to go CLP-Middle! We just can’t get enough of members engaging and ensuring our contract supports thriving classrooms! Preston Middle School was #unionstrong on Tuesday and had staff observing the circle and on the negotiations team! Johnson elementary members SHOWED OUT yesterday. ✊ They know the power of our contract and have been engaging all year in their union! All staff in PSD benefit from our collective bargaining agreement. The investment of union members means we, licensed educators have the collective support to negotiate a strong contract! We bring members needs and concerns to the table and are proud of how far we got yesterday! ✊ Irish Escuela Bilingüe members got union proud yesterday and even made it to negotiations to observe discussions around workload language. Quite a few members made it to observe the 3/31 negotiations session. It was a super productive day all around and were looking forward to session #4 on Tuesday 4/21 4:30-8:30! According to the PSD employee agreement Shared Decision-Making should be the predominant process in PSD! We’re at the table today discussing ways to clarify and expand this so all staff know how they can be represented in decision making. Tavelli Elementary members are #unionstrong and have been all year! Schools thrive when education workers are respected and we are all working in service of the best learning conditions for students.
